Welcome to Creative Writing Alliance, Inc!

We are Prince George’s County’s first performance poetry organization for youth and young adults. Our programs use spoken word poetry to sharpen language arts skills. Through our programs, CWA youth poets learn to effectively address personal and social issues they face at home, at school and in the community.

Our mission is to serve area youth through programs and to shape tomorrow's civic leaders. CWA youth poets work to meet social needs in Prince George’s County. They also raise awareness about the emerging art of performance poetry.
